The transmission started to go out in the Prelude in 1992 (popped out of third all the time,) so I traded it in. Fast forward 18 years and I'm married (17 years now,) have two kids and a couple Odysseys.

I got some new rubber mounted yesterday and couldn't wait for today. The weather didn't cooperate, but I did it anyway.

Thanks! I've been DD'ing the car this week while my Integra is in the paint shop. It's funny how many horn honks and thumbs up I get driving it around.

I really need to lower the poor thing -- she looks like an all-wheel-drive!

Other than that, a little much-needed maintenance is in order. The front end is a little clunky, so I'm hoping to replace the ball joints and bushings soon.

And completely destroy an absolutely original car?

No thanks.

There are a few junkyard cars out there to butcher up for a "swap."

How do you plan on lowering it? i don't think there are aftermarket suppliers are there? only other way I know is cut springs. But will the ride be the same? haha anyway nice ride you have.

EDIT* also my first time actually posting and taking a closer look at the 1st gen.

The only way really is to cut or heat the springs. I'm trying locate another set of springs to cut so I can return the car to stock if need be later on. That's really the only option, except for a company in Australia that makes lowering springs -- but those are $500 a set with shipping!

dude wow nice car man thats sweet lookin. but ur thinkn to much inside the box . there are many hondas that use the same springs as u. all u have to do is get something u think looks simlar to another buy cheap ass set on ebay and try it out. think outside the box.if they are long and narrow look for those if they short and fat look for those its simple man. trust me on this the only thing it can do if u get the worong springs is make it look jacked up

Saw a first gen on the road today and decided to come into the 1st gen section and check it out. Your car and story is great. Wheels look awesome and are period correct to the 80s which is what makes them so damn cool.

I am Navy too. What did you do?

I'm digging the Camaro as well. Don't sell it, you'll regret it forever. I'm really glad I came in the 1st gen section.
