Great work man. It's like you are doing the same shit as me, but doing it way faster lol. Over how long a period of time is all this? I was actually going to buy those blitz wheels and do the same thing. However the seller let me know you bought them first

Yah i had been searching for a quiet some time for that size/offset and rim. Rota had their knock offs but the real ones are so much nicer. Lucky you

bad news guys...ill post this from another thread on made on ht. hopefully i can get some insight on here...

Ok guys my car just got all the body work done and painted grand prix white. It wasn't done by some cheap shop either. Car was painted about a month ago and i finally took it out yesterday.( First time it saw the sun) Today we noticed extreme yellowing in spots where the body shop used a skim coat. So the body work is bleeding through the sealer the basecoat and the clear coat. It looks terrible. They are gonna repaint the whole thing for free but we wanna figure out why it did this. They have only seen it happen once before and it wasnt nearly as bad. We think its either the skim coat thats crappy a shitty sealer that allowing the work to show through or the paint haha. pretty much everything. The car was painted with Valspar paint so we think maybe since we used a cheap paint its showing through. Any ideas on how we can fix the problem so it doesn't happen again? We took one fender off that was real bad sanded the clear down with 320 grit put 4 more coats of paint over top and some 3 coats of clear. We are gonna sit it out in the sun tomorrow and see if it bleeds through the basecoat again. If it does what should we do?

Prelude of the Month
ive seen it happen up at school before. it was either that or hard edges showing through. either eay it made me hate doing body work. Id just spray and pray the end product came out fantastic.

your car looks amazing though. cant wait to see the final shots.

car goes back in for round 2 of paint on wednesday. Not looking forward to taking it all apart again but whatever its gonna be free and we are getting the paint for free so i cant complain.

I feel bad for the guys who work at the shop cause its a family owned business so im offering my time in anyway i can to help offset the cost since my time is free. Which means i'll prolly end up sanding the whole car down instead of them. Also since the paint company said they would give us whatever free paint we wanted to redo the car i might change up the color some...hahha my mind is always changing.

Might skip out on the grand prix white and do a custom house of kolor white with some blue pearl. Also i get my wheels back from the powder coating this week can't wait to see how they turned out!

well i needed my car for work the past couple days so it hasn't gotten repainted yet....but i took it in last night took it all apart again and we sanded the whole thing down. Gonna do things a little differently this time. Thinkin about a black roof and possibly some blue/purple metallic thrown into the white haven't decided yet. But I did finish my wheels. I really like the polished look but not on a white car. So without further ado........

currently workin on the center caps they are gonna be black with silver inlaid blitz writing... thoughts???

haha well now that u say satin black i'm not really sure what color they are. I only had gloss and flat black powder and i didnt want gloss cause i think gloss black wheels look cheap and i didnt want flat black becuase i thought it would be too hard to clean them so I did what anyone would do that didn't wanna buy more powder...mixed gloss and flat together and tested it on a piece of metal and decided to go with it. I would say its more of a semi-gloss black haha

Prelude of the Month
First, I want to say AWESOME job with the car so far. My only gripe is that I loved the polish job you did on the wheels but you powder-coated them. Looks good, though!

haha thanks everyone...as for the wheels like i said i loved the polished look but i just dont think it would set off the white car as much. On any other color car i'd more than likely have left them polished but i absolutly love black wheels on a white car.

Don't yell at me because i couldnt get the small writing silver. I tried a couple times and it would never come out good. Heres the final look with them on the wheels:
