You will pay around $4300 for the entire kit (which really isn't that bad), but you'll be able to lay it out, then get it to street level so you aren't scraping oil pan, then jack it way up for mile high speed bumps and driveways.
has anyone actually played with that kit yet? the promo pics i've seen are of parts that won't fit a prelude (or most other hondas for that matter)....

and i couldn't ever get anyone to give me pics of the actual components.

Dude, trust me. If you want to go ridiculously low, you will have suspension problems along with body/frame damage due to the upper control arm not having enough clearance to move up and down. Ask me how I know........experience. Once you decide on your setup and get it, adjust it real low and get under the wheel well and you will know/see what I mean.

Good luck with the setup you end up using though.

True I know from experience I ruptured my unibody on the pass. Side bad struts and streets I had to weld her back together. Go k sport that's the best imo. I'll post pics later .

Nailed it. If you are going to take any bit of information from this thread listen to Carlos. I have learned from experience as well.

No, I have not seen the kit in person. It's been a while since I had seen the one online, so I do not doubt that it is the wrong kit pictured.

As far as damage, most of the unibody damage that could happen, can be avoided with chassis modification. cut out the top section of the shock towers where the UCA will collide, C-notch the frame rails for axle clearance (Vdub guys are all over that), extend the UCAs for more adjustability, and make room in the wheel wells including a roll-n-pull if you're going Down-N-Out. All stuff Psychoboy has done that few people have given a second look. This is the route to reCOCKulous lowness.

I personally ride on Function/Form Type2s with factory preload front and rear, height adjustment all the way down up front, leveled in the back. I left the setup like this for handling and to keep my warranty intacted. The trade off is a bit of wheel gap

However, there is a possibility that Buddy Club Roll Center Correcting lower ball joints could fit, or just use 90-93 DA Integra front knuckles with the roll center correctors. Those will give you an extra inch of down at no cost to handling or structural integrity.

Hey guys, I decided just to go with some tokico struts and some neuspeed race springs, going to pick them up tommorow... im not really looking to bag the car. I am bagging my 04 dodge ram right now actually...

Yeah as you can see its a crap load of custom work. Im sure a car with bag on strut would be much easier but still I am all bagged out at the moment... hah hah!

civics are for posers
I like both the ksports and type2's from what I have seen. IIRC ludasaurus is rollin on ksports, and he is positively dumped, so when I cash my first check or two from my new job I'll probably go with ksports, but who knows.

Does anyone have a definitive answer as to whether ksports go lower than type2's(without voiding warranty)? Also, which has better ride comfort for a DD?

The better ride comfort is a realtive question. The Ksports do not have to compressed to get low. Ryans lude is an example, but here is another one:

This was the first night I dropped the Ksports, and that was not even all the way down. This was without having to compress the springs. If I went down more I would have been tucking my 17"s.

If you adjust the preload out of them, thus letting of all the compression on the spring, all coilovers will let you lay rocker on the tarmac. changing the preload on any brand with warranty will void it.

F/Fs use 12kg/mm Front and 8kg/mm Rear spring rates, which is higher that the KSports. The use of a twin tube set up does lend itself to more compliance and plushness. However, being adjustable like the Type 2s or the Kontrol Pros, both can be adjusted so still you'll piss blood from hurting your kidneys.

I tear ass through the canyons here in So Cal and have never adjusted the dampening past 7 clicks up front, 11 clicks in back. There are 32 clicks of adjustment and 7 was stiff on the F/Fs.

So here's the bottom line:
F/Fs are Twin tube contributing to better plushness, made with more steel, and a bit less expensive.

KSports are Mono tube contributing to less dampening fade, made with more aluminum( A bit lighter), and a bit more expensive.

Both are a great deal and have proven that Taiwan is getting it's shit together on quality.

Eitherway, you can't lose
