Plug and play loom with Adaptronic ECU??

A Company called Adaptronic have developed a plug and play loom for the Prelude HooRrahh!!

However its to Australian Spec as they are located in Australia. Im presumming its good for you guys too but I thaught id let you guys know.If the Pin out is the same you shouldnt have a problem. Its a complete stand alone unit and plug and play loom too which is fantastic.

They may be taking on the ATTS model as well which could be very intresting. The loom is not on their website however i know its definately there ( because its being finished up).

www.adaptronic.com.au is their website however if you email them im sure they will get back to you asap, their actually really nice people and go out of their way to help it seems.

my 2cents =)

Like the AEM we have? Does it offer anything over the AEM?

It would be nice if it worked for the ATTS but if they're saying its something they might think about I can pretty much guarantee it won't happen.

Im not sure if the AEM is stand alone or Piggyback. I know though that their ECU and their loom together works out to be cheaper with same or even better results as it is Standalone and controls everything throughout the car completely.

It has its own software, but quite standardised with the normal shortcuts and so forth. Everything is on the website

916 amercian dollars for that.

Just doesnt seem worth it, plus tuning and installation. Why should we spend close to a G on this thing when we can get tuning programs and piggy backs for less than half that?

Well there are definite advantages to getting away from the cheap hacks people use (AFCs, chipped OBD1 ecus, etc).

Compare it to a real aftermarket standalone (like AEM, or better/more expensive stuff). Of course, the specifics are important for stuff like this. And no, not everyone needs or even would want to step away from the aforementioned cheap hacks.

Look at what it has to offer. You can't get those features with a any piggy back I've seen. The thing that suck is its only for 4 cylinder cars. At least you can get creative with something like aem and use it on another car with more cylinders.

Well you can still use it on 6 cylinders and so forth because you can do semi sequential and wasted spark? look at the cars they have put it on , on the website theres drag cars and small cars with more then 4 cylinders.

Also in regards to features A standalone gives you plenty more features then a piggyback, hence the reflection of the price.
