OBD2B to OBD1 - emmission test???

Hi,

i need some infos, i hope you will understand me, iīm german.

Ok i have an Accord Type-R, the intake manifold is the same as the Euro-R, i would like to use the P28 ecu.
So i need an adapter for iacv and a 2 wire iacv, the stock iacv is 3 wire.

The Accord Type-R is OBD2B, every two year i have to go to the emmission test where they connecting the PC with the stock OBD Port to read out all function.

If i use the P28 OBD1 ecu, this port will not work!!
Is there any chip, adapter out there that can translat OBD1 to OBD2B???
Wil luse the stock OBD port with P28.

If not i have to change for emission test back to the stock ecu, but i donīt know if it works i`m running 12:1 compression and JUN cams...

Many thanks
Chris

I've heard of such things once in awhile, but I'm not sure if anyone has put a working one together. It would have to be a pretty sophisticated piece of kit.

Short answer is NO! You could try running the stock ecu on some really high octane fuel.

Yes,it can be done but, it wont be easy. You will have to emulate OBD II ecu. That means you will need something like a data logger that uses honda's version of CAN protocol. So, your device will have to capture all the serial output from OBDI and change it into honda's OBD II CAN protocol.

^Not to mention that there's input from a secondary O2 sensor that's normally missing from OBD1.

Stock ecu with a piggy back might be your only solution.

I'm in the same boat, I think I will have to get a greddy emanage and get a decent tune on it just for state inspections then after I pass swap my hondata back in. Does anyone know if the emanage unit's work with upgraded map sensors and the like?
